Dr. Marty Smith grew up in Bend, OR, attended Brigham Young University and earned his BA in communications. After a short stint in business administration, he enrolled in Parker Chiropractic in Dallas, TX to complete his graduate work in Chiropractic. He completed an internship in Keizer, OR then began his practice in Farmington, NM in 1991. Dr. Smith has now been in practice at his Farmington location for almost 30 years. Dr. Smith has made it his mission to introduce Farmington and surrounding communities to the latest developments and advancements in Chiropractic healthcare. He believes you can feel better naturally without drugs or surgery.
Dr. Smith is certified with over 60 hours of advanced training in Whiplash Injuries from Dr. Croft of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. He is also certified in PulStar (previously known as Pro-Adjuster) treatments from the Pulstar Institute in Pittsburgh, PA and is an advocate for the more gentle, precise treatment it can provide. Dr. Smith is also certified in activator methods and carpal tunnel treatment.

Dr Smith’s hobbies include fishing, gardening (you should try some of his homemade grape jelly and grape juice!), and any kind of singing in barbershop groups or choirs, including most recently the Farmington Caliente Community Choir. He also loves woodworking. You should see the cribbage board he recently made!
He is an active member of the LDS Church and has served in many various positions of service. He has been married to his lovely wife, Margie, for 45 years and they are the parents of 9 adopted children and 20 wonderful grandchildren. Here’s Dr. Smith with his wife and 9 children:
